I’m a wildlife biologist, I love animals and the outdoors, so when I first got into photography I thought wildlife photography was totally my thing.
That was until the first time I took my camera along to a wedding, completely on a whim. But that was it for me, I completely fell in love with photographing people that day - and not just the bride and groom, but every single person there.
There’s something about a wedding, where everyone is relaxed and happy (and looking absolutely smashing), that allows you to capture people at their best and most natural - being the most them they can be.
There’s so much happening that it’s easy to fade into the background so people forget you’re there - it’s possible to get wonderful photos of even the most camera shy-people looking like themselves. No pained smiles or awkward poses, just people genuinely happy to be together and there to celebrate with you.
I love capturing the expressions of unadulterated joy your people have for you at your wedding. The only thing better is when I’m able to capture the beautiful moments of happiness between the two of you throughout the day, the ones that tell the story of your love.
